I am now using WordPress on my site.  I have been very wary of it in the past, because I have had so much trouble skinning it to my liking.  Even now, my favourite quote block is weird, and my links are lacking a box around them.  However, it is infinitely better than dealing with my stroppy “build a blog” version.  I love having tags and categories, and the plugins have come on in leaps and bounds since I last tried to use WordPress (around 2003?).

So far, I’m happy with it.  Now, to move it all over to the main site.

Oh, and do you like my Sparkly Harmony layout?  I love her.  She’s so pretty.

I’ve done a small new update on the layout of the site. Have tested it in IE and Firefox, and it looks better than the old version did in IE… why, why, why would you use IE when Firefox is on offer? I still don’t get it.

I have once more given this site an overhaul. It kinda looks like a raspberry exploded here, but I like it all the same. Now I have a pretty Denise Richards banner, and the layout works with all sizes of browser from 1024×768 upwards. It probably still looks alright in 800×600, but since few people use that setting any more, I haven’t knocked myself out making it work.

I’ve also moved all of my fanfic over to my automated archive, which cuts down on coding hassle when I fall in love with another fandom, or even write something new for a fandom I’m already a part of… it might happen.

Inevitably some people will hate the layout. Don’t care. It’s my site, not yours. I have learnt by experience that asking for input actually unleashes hell, you get demands from little fuckwits who believe that because they enjoy using someone’s site, that the owner of the site actually owes them – and if the user hates something, the webmistress should change it. Don’t care. I love pink, I love Denise Richards, am generally happy with the new look, so all is good.

Edited to Add: This site looks much better in Firefox. It’s useable with Internet Explorer, but gorgeous in Firefox, so bear that in mind. Also, why on earth would anyone stick with the ugly that is IE when they could have FF at no cost?

Well, I’ve finally updated. Nothing huge, but at least I’ve tarted up the look of the site. We’d been stuck on “Dark Jensen” for about a year. Now we have “Noir Boots”, the spangly boots of Noel Fielding, aka Vince Noir.

I have now sorted out the blog so we have categories and the music videos are easier to find. This is much better. I’m amazed it works.

The Starlight-Tales domain is now nicely sorted out, and I don’t think there will be much more content added than this – maybe a few downloads of my PSP stuff, like gradients and brushes and stuff.

God, I love Quirrell in Harry Potter, he’s amusing.

I managed to grab a couple of minutes online and have uploaded the new look of the site – to be fair, it was not much, just a few div tags instead of tables.

Next I am going to sort out the music videos – which will probably end up in this blog – that way, people can comment, if they want.

We have moved from Lycos The Spawn of Satan to DreamHost, and because of this move, I have deleted most of the sites, and now all that is left is the fanfiction – anything else on the sites (info, reviews, etc) has been taken down. The fanvids will be up shortly though. I will be working on that next… should I get any net time soon.
